The actor with the tall structure and magnificent persona needs no introduction. Amitabh Bachchan has two bungalows in Mumbai namely, Jalsa and Prateeksha. He also has an office building named Janak which is adjoined with Jalsa and houses the personal gym of the fit family. However, Prateeksha has been kept intact especially the rooms of his parents for memory. Big B pays a daily visit to his old abode to pray in the family temple built by his father. Pratiksha can be considered the original abode of the Bachchan family.
Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow, “Jalsa” is a large 10,125 sq ft, two storied house in Juhu, Mumbai. It is registered in the name of Jaya Bachchan. It has grown in stature to become an icon, representing the ever bustling city’s identity. And not to forget that, it’s one of the most heavily guarded places with numerous ventures to safeguard the security of its dwellers, courtesy to the sheer abundance of people from all over the country who visit it every day to have just a glimpse of the beloved superstar.
It is said to have a spiral staircase which is decorated with pictures capturing the many moods of the superstar with family. The bungalow is guarded heavily, with the majority of it being excessively covered with a fence for safety reasons. There is a lawn that lies at the backyard of the house which is a relaxation zone for the superstar, amidst the bliss of nature.
The elegantly done interiors, in various monotone shades of beige, brown and glass surely upholds the richness of his inner taste and style. Anurag Kashyap loved the interiors so much that he shot a part of his movie, Bombay Talkies inside the Bachchan bungalow and for the first time the interiors of it was shown.
We must say that the house of Amitabh Bachchan is no less grand and magnificent as the actor himself.
